The rain stops and the sun comes out. Can you believe that this is the same park that yesterday was underwater.

Freddy, Morgan and Elliot walking Oaty.

                                 Grass tree.
Cockatoos, lots of cockatoos!
Turtles.

Ibis.

Moorhens.
Julia and I at Sandgate pier.

The Fredster.

A cool park, there's no shortage of these in Australia.

Sandgate pier.

Christmas bug.

Punk pigeon!

The long walk back after which we drive over the longest bridge in Australia in search of pelicans. There are none to be found in their normal stomping ground. Displaced by Debbie?

Back home and Morgan decides to rustle up some Anzacs with the help of El and Fred.

They were delicious. Thank you boys.

Hooray! We make it to Brisbane.

We drive through floods as the tropical low that is ex-cyclone Debbie makes her presence felt over NSW and Queensland.
We make it to the Sunshine State and a lovely walk in the park with Phil and Julia.
Don't think we'll be kicking a ball in this park.

Games Room with Taylor and Morgan
Mexican food time.
So good to catch up with these lovely people.

Byron Bay

Bye bye beautiful Emerald Beach, Byron Bay here we come!
Look who we ran into! So lucky to have a swim in the waves and then enjoy the best fish, chips and tempura veggies in the world with these lovely folk.
To work off lunch we head to the lighthouse.
So many beaches, not enough time!

Shooting the breeze.
Finding some shade.
Lighthouse.
Mark at the most Easterly point on mainland Australia!

Another brill day with great friends. Thanks Flo, Chris, William and Charlie for more good times  and awesome memories. Xxxx

Fishy.

We start the day at the Forest Sky Pier near Coffs Harbour for some awesome views.

Next the Korora Track.

                  And here's our first Koala!

We didn't see any. Did spot another sleepy koala though.

After a fishy lunch at the marina we head on the track to Muttonbird Island Nature Reserve. Boys spot several of these Shingleback lizards.

We seem to spend an awful lot of time climbing up big hills in the heat! Always                              worth it though!
Brothers.
Downhill!
Jetty beach, Coffs Harbour where we play, swim, nap and chill.

And to end this fab day, Tom, our AirBnB host takes the boys fishing!

Elliot catches 2! A Brim and a Mullet.
Fred catches 2 Brims. Very happy boys. Mark gets nothing.
On top of all this there's wallaby's and kangaroos on the beach. Brilliant.
