Don't feed the fish with bread!

Another quickie whilst we have some Wi-fi left!
We have truly found ourselves in paradise. It took about a day to get used to the heat, this is Costa Rica and then some!
We then discovered the snorkeling in the lagoon at our resort, that coupled with the pool and the fact that everyone is so darn relaxed and we're away!
We have a few issues with the insect bites particularly on our feet which are driving us mad, and it's so hot at night. But we ain't complaining.

Elliot chills after our epic scuba session.

Just after our dive with Max, our awesome instructor at The Big Fish Dive Centre. What a fantastic morning. The boys were amazing and we got to see some wonderful fish including, butterfly fish, smooth flute mouth, soldier fish, clams and unicorn fish.
We were also all given an education about protecting reefs and lagoons and the crazy things people do to promote tourism. It's so important not to feed or entice fish with bread as we don't know what it does to their digestive system but also their job is to eat the algae from the coral, if they don't the coral will not be able to attach to the rocks. Also the impact of our feet stamping on the coral can destroy it.

Sorry this is rushed! But thanks Max and Sabina, an unforgettable experience for us all. Keep up the fab work.

  4. Hello Christine, glad you've found a way to comment. Wi-fi costs a fortune here so were not blogging much. This place is so different from where we've been before, so relaxing. It's nice to be still but part of us is itching to move on. Xxx
