Boccadasse

Heading out from Ognio this morning.

Love the painted detail round the windows and doors of the houses.
Where did we park the car? The village we are staying in has tiny narrow roads. Parking is tricky, parking near your house even trickier!
After 50 minutes of crazy driving with beautiful views and me clinging on to the car door for dear life we arrive at the glorious fishing village of Boccadasse.
We kinda thought the beach might be a little bigger.

Boys play on the rocks, then we head along the front towards Genoa and, perhaps a bigger, less crowded, beach.

The front is littered with lidos!

An amazing buildings.
But the beaches all seem to be private.
Gelati for hot and tired boys.
And back to Boccadasse for a swim. Water was lovely, lots of seaweed to get tangled up in, but super clear. Boys snorkelled.
Goodbye lovely fishing village.  Hello lunch as we drive the twisty, steep road home!
