Lucca to Neirone.

We pick a fine morning to leave the Lucca apartment. The spectacular clouds roll in and we witness our first storm since Thailand.

After getting wet through just running to the car we have a soggy 2 hour trip to Liguria driving through more tunnels than you can shake a stick at.
The scenery is awesome.

Park Apuan Alps.

And the tunnels!
And then Google Maps takes us on narrow road of complete and utter switchbacks and steep drop offs, yikes.
And here it is, our super little apartment in the hills in Ognio, near Neirone. The only problem being the hairy drive in and out of the village!
An early evening stroll as the Swift's screech overhead.

A quick play before bed. We are all shattered after afew nights of hot and mosquito ridden sleep.

  4. Hey U guys xxxx How U doing? We r ok 👌 but almost depressed with dreadful rainy ☔ weather. The ground is waterlogged and I can't get a washing dry. Also we r going north for a few days next week and were thinking of taking the caravan # but David days the midges will eat us alive - so perhaps not⁉

    1. Why don't you go south in the caravan? Less midges maybe?? That's a bummer, we are hot, hot, hot again here. Sleeping is a little easier as it's abit cooler at night. Hope you get away xxx

    1. Just home after that Sheila. Feels like there's loads to sort. Freddy has a place at Old Buckenham Primary School so unless someone leaves Banham or the appeal happens and is a success then he'll be going there. Looking at houses too. Lots of new stuff to think about. Xxxx
