A day of two halves.

Today we split up as Mark and Elliot head to the hills for the Dragon Flight Extreme Zip lining and Freddy and I head into town for more sedate activities.

Our first Rot Daang (red truck) of the day.
Art in Paradise Museum.
Similar to the 3-D Museum in Melaka but this time it's all just painting with very few props. We had a great time trying to work out poses.

Run!!

Love this!

When you've gotta go!

We took hundreds of photos, so many the phone stopped working.
A long walk and another Rot Daang and we end up here.
Pretzel sticks and chocolate sauce.
Giant Durian.

And we picked up our final ride just in time.
After Ell and I split up with Jo and Fred, we head out into beautiful countryside and mountains.
At Dragon Flight, we get kitted out with harnesses, helmets and hairnet!?! I must have looked unclean!
All the gear and no idea!
Born ready!
Ell on one of 26 ziplines, the longest was 785 metres! It was awesome!
Abseil drop.

A run and jump start for this one, go El!

View from the top.

The skateboard!

Finished, happy and proud!
T-shirts to prove it!

Homeward bound views.

Chiang Mai

Day 1 in Chiang Mai begins. After a delicious breakfast and some exchanging of travelling tales with some lovely folk we set out to explore.
Wat Phan On Temple.
A little different from Cambodia, abit more 'showy'.
But beautiful.

Next one who's name escapes me.

The detail is amazing.

Yesterday we were grateful when we arrived as Chiang Mai seemed cooler than Cambodia. When the sun came out this morning we were melting again. Fresh fruit smoothie stop.

And Lucy the pug!

More temple splendour.

We quite liked this unpretentious temple.

And the flags inside were beautiful.
Street art.
Blue Diamond cafe. Found this on someone elses blog. It didn't disappoint, delicious, fresh, organic, homemade yummyness!

It started 18 years ago and was a couple of tables in the ladies house! Now her 18 year old daughter works there. Such a cool place.

After a break for journal writing and cooling down we head to the night bazaar for food and stuff!
We love these food centres. One big seating area in the middle, loads of different food stalls and one beer stall. Everyone gets to choose what they want, it's all cheap, hot and yummy.
The bazaar is huge and sells everything. Freddy's in heaven. El wants to go home!
The all in one tuk tuk. Not the bike a trailer we were used to in Cambodia. Elliot gets to ride up front and this thing doesn't half shift!
Hang on tight El!
The driver's a Chelsea fan!
