After a busy morning packing we said goodbye to Phil and Mary Belle and the wonderful Treehouse.
Back to our favourite bus stop pretty certain that the bus we need will turn up.
Things get desperate! An hour later and after several discussions with boys ranging from collagen implants to slavery the bus to Quepos appeared. Hooray, we were never in any doubt!
Best bus yet, it's roomy, comfy, air conditioned and practically empty!!
Gorgeous views but drivers heavy use of break made us all feel alittle quesy!
Tarcoles River, home to crocodiles.
Contrasts in accommodation can be quite dramatic in Costa Rica.
Dark clouds roll in. We arrive in Quepos 3 hours later and are met from bus by Pierre. A short taxi ride later and we arrive at our home for next 6 nights.
Check it out!
We've stayed in a range of accommodation in Costa Rica and we've loved it all. But are we ready for abit of luxury (ceiling fans, shower big enough for a small gathering, laundry room, cheese grater!) Yes, we'll take it!
No sooner were we in than the neighbours popped by. Turns out these guys are Central American Squirrel Monkeys and they are the smallest, rarest and most endangered Costa Rican monkeys (lonely planet 2000)
Go monkey, go!
They came so close and were so fun to watching leaping and tussling on the tin roof tops.
Not a bad view from
Kitchen sink.
After a shaky start (bus-ride) ur safe arrival at luxury villa must have been super!? Wonder what Quepos will hold for u all ? XXXX
