After waking early to the surreal news about Trump we pack and head to the airport. Toronto has definitely been one of the highlights of our East Coast adventure and the boys were sad to leave the basement, especially Freddy who had to leave behind his 'base'. (See below)
Airport selfie.
Thanks to the fab Paola who took this pic and helped us at check in.
More wonderful people on our flight. I chatted loads to a German lady next to me called Hildegard (hope the spellings correct). She had some great stories about her life and travel with her late husband.
'There maybe 50 ways to leave your lover but there's only 8 ways off this plane!'
The flight crew were like a stand up routine, brilliant, made up for the lack of TV.
Flying over the Rockies- amazing!
Say cheese.
Sky train.
Our digs for next 3 nights, a cosy motorhome.
Our flight took just over 5 hours but Vancouver is 3 hours behind. It's only 8pm and we are shattered. It was almost dark and very foggy as we bused it through Vancouver one thing we noticed was the huge amount of people who seemed to be living rough. Until tomorrow........
Loving the hats! What a fantastic adventure you guys are having, enjoy Vancouver xxxx
ReplyDeleteSitting up in bed having my T and toast and following your adventures--------is a perfect way to start my day. Is the motor-home stationary or will you drive around in it? Welcome to the west coast !! Xxxx

ReplyDeleteMotorhome is stationary, parkedcoutside the owners house. It's cool but very tight for space. It comes complete with food for breakfast. We were so hungry and tired when we arrived last night and it was dark so we thought we'd just have eggs in toast. We couldn't get hotplates to work, we were stumbling round tripping over suitcases and banging heads on cupboards as Freddy was opening every door he could find and shouting ' look what's in here'. We could only plug one appliance in at a time aswell. We were all abit cranky by the end of that! Gonna explore today as forecast is good, then we are in for rain. Hope you guys are all good, lots of love xxxx
ReplyDeleteHi Jo - I was speaking to a lady who had been brought up on Vancouver Island and she really recommended it to me (I had been discussing you!) Keep up the good blogging x
