Yosemite

We spent the best part of Saturday on the road from San Fran to Oakhurst. It was a pretty miserable journey weather wise and abit unspectacular scenery wise.
So, after a hearty breakfast on a chilly Sunday morning we set off for Yosemite National Park.

Surely Yosemite's just around the corner!

Closer.....

Ha ha! About 90 minutes later we reach the entrance to the park.

Wowsers! After a heavy overnight snowfall several of the roads in the park are impassable. Our trusty Nissan sounded like it was dying a couple of times. Lack if snow chains didn't help either!

Happy chaps.

What a breathtaking place this is. Felt like we didn't do it justice today despite our best efforts. We all had wet feet after the first half hour! Couldn't get to Half Dome either , sorry Laurie!

Yosemite Falls.

Got so close to these Mule Deer.

The views were constantly changing as clouds shifted and the sun came out. Such a beautiful place. Perhaps in summer next time!
