Those pesky howler monkeys had us all awake several times in the night!
Today we grabbed the Banana Bikes and set off for Cahuita in search of flip flops and food.
Man it was hot. Elliot looking a little pink!
The National Park in Cahuita.
Stunning beach, but no swimming here as it wasn't safe today.
My hair's just about coping with the humidity - for now!
'What! You expect me to eat this whole crepe with banana and chocolate?'
'okay, if I must!'
Angry Elliot vs crepe!
Crepe con Jamon, queso y calabacin.
Estaba buenisimo!
We biked back down the track dodging the ants and being chased by an angry dog. We were so hot headed straight for the beach for a dip.
Another fab day , boys are doing well with disturbed sleep and heat and are even trying some Spanish. Cahuita has a really chilled Caribbean vibe, what a cool place!
The photos are stunning- love the pancakes! Xx

ReplyDeleteWow it looks stunning! -
ReplyDeleteAnd very hot!!! Love you all❤️ X x
Is it humid there? Heat is tolerable here because the perspiration evaporates immediately and has a cooling effect on the skin (but very important to drink lots of water). Heat plus humidity can really slow you down. Los perros y los changos (dogs and monkeys) sound challenging.
ReplyDeleteIt's very humid here but fortunately I have some hair product. We are drinking loads of water, no beer yet! More free range dogs today but monkeys were quiet last night.
ReplyDeleteI'm so impressed with the emerging language skills! Looks like a gorgeous place!
ReplyDeleteAnd Jo, get you, looking like a beach babe!
