First stop today Twizel Salmon farm.
We fed the salmon.
Then it was down the road to Aoraki/Mount Cook. Once again the weather wasn't playing ball and the clouds were covering the mountains. So we did what any British person would do, waited it out and made an omelette by the side of the road whilst it was blowing a gale!
Mount Cook Omelette!
Well, the clouds weren't shifting, and after eating gritty omelette the rain came down and the wind started blowing our stuff across the road. It was time to leave.
The gap in the middle is Mount Cook.
The turquoise waters of Lake Pukaki.
Lake Tekapo.
Kiwi stacking.
Heading West.
We arrived at Timaru in the sunshine. There are no mountains, no waterfalls, no stunning scenery stretching for miles. There is, however a bouncy pillow outside our cabin, there's a kitchen to make a delicious chicken and Kumara curry, there's a cold beer on the deck and kids for the boys to play with. Phew!
Another successful day on planet earth. Liked omelette lunch at Road-side, stacking kiwis and views. Also roof over your heads and pals for the boys.. and beer for U 2! xxxx
