Did not blog yesterday (Tuesday) as there was not much to report. One of our party wasn't feeling the best so I took the boys out to the Hideout for French Toast!
After catching up on journals and more planning of next bits we took the boys to the cinema to see Wonder Woman, awesome!
After about 30 minutes of trailers and crazy adverts a picture of the king appeared and we had to stand for the national anthem!
So, today. None of us wanted a journey to the mountains so we just set out to explore the city more.
Literally every where you look there are temples to be seen.
And frangipanis!
Then we stumble across this place. The Women's Massage Centre by ex-prisoners. Such a great project to help female ex-prisoners reintegrate into professional society successfully. (I got that off the flyer!)
So, foot massages all round. At £4.60 for an hour it would be rude not too
Freddy loved his post-wash, pre-massage slippers.
Cleaning those feet.
Lovin it!
Sweet tea after massage, yum.
Then we stumble on this monster!
It's huge, just off a busy street. So beautiful, so intricate, so peaceful, well it was.....
Mark and I could wander round these temples all day. For the boys once they've marvelled at the dragons they've had enough, especially in the 38°c heat. So back for our daily rest.
Out again but there's a storm brewing.
Yay, the night bazaar.
We shop, eat, check out some kareoke, check out a rock band, marvel at the gorgeous Cabaret ladies and then walk the streets back to the room.
The hour is late, 11pm and we're still going strong. Good night Chiang Mai!
