Yesterday's blog was a little rushed as we were just about to board a plane, so here's a quick update.
Boys at Bangkok Suvarnabhumi airport. The pictures are of Thailand's King who passed away last October. Whilst in Bangkok we saw many people wearing black, think it's suggest they wear black for a year available sign of respect.
Through security for flight number 19.
Bangkok to Kuala Lumpur, and there's a screen!
Bye bye Bangkok.
Chicken and rice.
Kuala Lumpur!
Then it's walk very quickly through airport, hop on this train to take us to gate for next flight.
The plane to Delhi is huge. It's 2,4,2 seating and it's hilarious.
Photo bombed!
It's not just hilarious cos of Marks high jinx. The good people of India have boarded the plane and a good portion have decided to ignore their boarding passes and sit where they fancy. Honestly, it's chaos! Even as we are taxiing down the runway and the staff are in their seats there are still people up and wandering.
We get through a couple of movies each and even manage a glass of red with our........chicken and rice!!
Farewell KL.
Heres Delhi.
This is us approaching our hotel in a very 'Hotel laden' part of town. We are relieved to be in one piece after the craziest 30 minutes drive of our lives. Honestly, Costa Rica and Ho Chi Minh, get to the back of the queue!
We have chosen perhaps not so widely to stay in the busiest part of town near the train station. We have afew nights here at the end of our stay and will make sure we book them in the leafier, less manic areas.
Our hotel is ok. The beds feel like waterbeds. The air con works. We have ant-bac wiped all light switches and door handles and brushed our teeth with bottled water. The windows are painted so we don't have much of an idea of what awaits us outside.
Breathe, we've done this before, vwe can do it again. See you on the flip side!
Yippee The intrepid Stevensons take on India! Hot hot hot. Mark looked really excited on plane! Bet this, will b ur busiest country yet? Happy and safe exploring. 8 months 2days done. All our love dad and mum. xxxx xxxx
ReplyDeleteThanks Sheila. We are so happy that we got through this first day, I'm about to blog it. Think our previous countries have helped, it would have been pretty overwhelming if we hadn't been to San Jose, Ho Chi Minh etc first. Thanks for being right behind us. Xxxx
