We spent yesterday back in Brisbane with the awesome Davies family again. Thanks so much for making it a really easy and lovely time before our flight.
I only took one photo! Boys on scooters as we head for the dog park.
And there we were, 11pm at Brisbane airport.
After a pretty good but sleep deprived 8 hour flight, we arrive in Singapore at around 8am.
We spend a good 20 minutes mesmerised by this beautiful moving artwork Kinetic Rain.
The airport is huge! We don't find the butterfly garden or the cinema but spend a couple of hours exploring.
The MRT is a piece of cake (so far). And within 20 minutes we are at our hostel.
Elliot's face says it all. Good job none of us are claustrophobic. This room has two bunks, a titchy window and not much else.
But that's cool, cos we're here. We've made it and with abit of sleep we'll be right!
Enjoy Singapore, hope you like it as much as we did. Check out Boat Quay and Clarke Quay, great food. There's an underground food hall in Orchard Road where food is brilliant, in fact loads of food stalls in and around Orchard Road. Wish we were there. xx
ReplyDeleteThanks Christine. Despite complete lack of sleep we have been out and about and have loved what we've seen so far. So green, clean and friendly. Planning to head downtown tomorrow, have made a note of those places. Was going to ask if you had any recommendations for golden triangle area of India too. Thanks, love to you all xxxx
DeleteThis definitely looks like a place Chris would have booked for me-did he recommend it? Have a wonderful time in Singapore. We didn't see the butterfly garden at the airport either Xxx
ReplyDeleteI am responsible for the booking. They must have used a wide angle lens in photos! It's so tiny. Makes us really appreciate the space we are used too. Hot and shattered now. Just caught up on journals and off to bed. Hope all is good in Banham. Say hi to the lads! Xxxx
