Port Douglas

After all the excitement of yesterday we decide to just hang out in PD today. We head to 4 mile beach for a swim but due to high winds the nets have been removed and it's a 'no swimming' day.
We do however happen to be just in time for a schools cross country. All these kids running up and down the beach.
We have a conversation about how Elliot hates cross country, but he somehow manages to channel his inner Forest Gump and we can't stop him!
Freddy builds volcanoes.

And then a game of beach golf happens.

There have been crocs sighted in these waters. There's some up with clear pictures saying no swimming. In this little bay a lady is wading out for a swim! Yikes.
Next stop the pontoon. Armed with Pilchards for bait. All I can think about is crocodile's.
No luck today. The guy before us caught a metre long Moray Eel!

It's a scorcher so we head back for a swim.
Purple sky.
