Great Barrier Reef

Yo Yo Yo! A last minute decision and we're hitting the reef for some snorkel action!
Check out our sick stinger suits!
Looking good El.
Front seats and your gonna need those seatbelts boys. This speedboat takes no prisoners!
Happy smiley, smiley happy. Before the boat ride. We knew it was gonna be choppy as it was a windy day, we didn't realise just what we were in for. At 80kms an hour over choppy sea we were at points almost airborne, oh my. All we could hear was Freddy screaming with excitement.
Freddy apres snorkel.

So proud of the boys today. This was a whole different kettle of fish to the shallow, calm waters of Rarotonga.
We jumped off the boat into 7m deep water and swam out to the reef which was 1-2m deep. The sea was choppy but it was great to see the reef. The size and colours of coral were amazing. Could clearly see the bleaching though 🙁. We saw so many new fish and Elliot saw a giant Trevally.
Getting to know the bat fish.

The Reef Sprinter.
One of the Low Isles. The site for our snorkelling.
After an hour and a half a snorkelling and the glass bottom boat we strap in for the bumpy ride back to Port Douglas.

A day we will never forget.
