Singapore

Two hours sleep and an interesting shower (in a tiny toilet cubicle that doubles as a shower) we are fresh and ready to hit the streets.

We head to the huge stadium that we can see from our street.
It's rumbling thunder all afternoon. (seems to be forecast all week) Singapore is very green and clean. Things are quick and efficient.
Thanks a stadium is mega. There's a three lane running track round the outside. We also discovered a water park.

And this amazing 50m swimming pool where some kind of school competition seemed to be taking place.

Of course! It's the National Stadium, complete with closing roof.
A cloudy skyline. On the far left is the Raffles building, the one with the boat on top.
So hungry we come across this bakery and it's hot buns all round!
Mines a chicken floss onion roll and it tasted sublime!

We head into the Kallang Wave Mall and enjoy watching the climbers on the wall.

But we're still hungry. All this for £12! Actually it wasn't that tasty and we all needed to down 2 bottles of water after. It's journals and an early night for us in the cupboard!

So once again we find ourselves in an unfamiliar place. We all cope differently and actually our needs are few. As long as we get sleep and food we can pretty much get on with anything.
Part of me was wishing that last night's flight had been headed to Norwich airport. I was quite apprehensive about starting out again in a new country. But then you see all the new, interesting, cool people and places and wonder and excitement take over.

Good night folks, from the bloomin' lucky Stevenson's.
