On day 215 we breakfast on fried rice and chicken noodle soup.
We exercise in the park with the locals.
We check out some interesting things.
We love the dragon hedges.
We search for fish in the pond.
We spot a bright blue lizard.
We play on the park.
We play 'count the bikes'.
We search for a curious bookshop.
And find it! Love the sign on the door.
Red and yellow flag is the bookshop!
We run into the post office to shelter from the storm.
We are not amused.
We love the post office building.
We spot the Cathedral again.
We find sanctuary in 'Flat White'. Iced tea and cheesecake. Look at those spoons!
We watch in amazement as the night market stall holders ride down a hill into a busy junction pulling their stalls and goods behind them. Arrrgghhhh, it's too scary!!
We watch the couples dancing under a pagoda in the park.
We find ourselves in an interesting part of town.
We are bombarded with people trying to get us into bars, to have our nails done, get a massage??
We keep walking.
Elliot notes ' there are lots of people with not many clothes on'.
We head for the hotel!
In 215 days we have had 13 flights, been to 11 different countries and stayed in 72 different hotels, apartments, rooms and homes.
It must b really tricky crossing the road - if not impossible! Where were U walking when Elliot made his observance? Not the Cathedral district methinks?! Xxxx Good to talk yesterday xxxx
ReplyDeleteTwas not Sheila, we were in a kind of clubber/backpacker area. It was mad! The boys are all now totally confident at crossing the road in the face of oncoming traffic. They have the 'keep walking and the bikes will swerve around you' thing perfected! I however usually panic, leave it too late and end up crossing in the shadow of a local muttering 'please don't die, please don't die'. XXXX
