Ipoh

It's Sunday and Ipoh is buzzing.
We head out onto the busy streets in search of Breakfast.

It comes in the shape of rather runny eggs. Politely British we gobble them up all the while thinking God Bless My Stomach. We watch a man nearby crack two barely cooked eggs into a mug, whisk them up and drink them!
We meet Ago ( I think that's right) who helpfully leafs the boys to a stall where they can by Fidget Spinners! Hooray!!
We enter the world of Dream Big. One lovely man and his collection of over 500 model cars.

And other models.

Seeking a lunch that the boys will just eat with no 'its too spicey' or 'what is this stuff?' we stumble across Artisan Handmade Bread owned by the lovely Sam Lau. The soup and sandwiches are amazing. We also get complimentary amous bouche and brownies. This guy is super passionate about decent bread and insisted we take away a free Cumin, Chilli and garlic loaf, yum!
Next Kek Lok Tong caves. Wow!
A place for worship and reflection the caves themselves are spectacular, but add in the statues and Buddhas and it's a strange experience.

Think the background looks super imposed on this pic. It's not!
Smiley, fat Buddha.

The gardens.

There's a whole series of these mini statue pieces all around the gardens. Some are very interesting.

We sat in the shade and watched them monkeys doing monkey stuff. Until a guard came along with a box of matches and scared them away.

After a spot of journal writing and Fidget Spinner skills we head to Little India. Delicious Naan sets and butter chicken.
Would've liked to have sampled desserts but no room!
And just for a change there's a thunderstorm!
