We did some stuff today including trying Rambutans. Mixed reception!
We went for a wander in the heat and had some beef Loklak.
Most of all we looked forward to this evening at Phare, The Cambodian Circus.
Please read below......
We'd read that the show was a must see whilst in Siem Reap and it's was truly amazing. So much energy, such a heartbreaking take and such a worthy cause. Loved it, loved it, loved it!
Our seats were just behind the super talented musicians.
Three canvases were painted as part of the show. You could buy them after.
The acrobatics was incredible.
It was funny, tragic, uplifting, energetic and thought provoking. Telling the story of a girl who finds hope and peace after a terrible war.
We got to meet the amazing performers after the show.
What a fabulous project. There's also a gift shop selling the most beautiful arts and crafts. We loved the watercolours painted by students who attend free sessions as therapy. They then get a helping hand to sell their works.
Such a worthwhile cause, really gives you hope that people can make a difference and do beautiful things.
