Freddy with one of his fans at our hotel, hugs all round.
After our last breakfast at Zoolut Stay we head to the market and split into two teams for 'haggling wars'. Freddy's a natural, as soon as we are given a price he says ' may, that's too much'. Even when we've agreed a price he's still trying to get it lower.
Mark and Elliot have good success but also get had!
We soon get fed up though. The market is hot and we are constantly bombarded 'hello miss, you want to buy something' ' hey boy, what you want?' Freddy is grabbed several times which I think is beginning to wear thin even with him. Calculators are thrust at us so we can punch in the prices we would pay. Fred and I go round in circles then head for the exit.
And relax!
Mmmmmm, as we arrive in district 2 here's our new local.
Waiting for a Grab to do big shop, who needs an iPad?
And an interesting shop it was! I had my bag taken by security and sealed up, stickered and given back to me before we went in.
The mega market was huge, I think we lost afew hours. The live fish section was interesting. Customers scooping out fish and letting them flap round the floor abit before popping them in bags. Elliot said they even eat turtles. I didn't look too much.
At the till we got a receipt that was pages long. This had to be checked and stamped before we left.
Then, pasta bolognaise! Not especially Vietnamese but we had an urge.
I had my bag checked in Lidl in Australia!we must look suspicious Jo! Xx
