Tuk tuks and temples

After a stonking breakfast we head out with Mr Pheap our Tuk Tuk driver for Siem Reap.

The market is bamboozling. The boys are not to happy with the smell in the fresh meat section.
Boys on bridge.

There were lots of birds in cages along the river. Not sure if they are for sale?
We do abit of shopping in the market but it's not long before we are baking.

Just in front of this area we see a group small children half dressed sleeping on cardboard with lots of sleepy puppies. It's a shock to us to see how some people live, things that we take for granted in the UK are luxuries for others.
Meat and fish.

Another luxury, we get to cool off!

Freddys lunch.
To the temple!
Angkor Wat, the temples in this complex make up the world's largest religious monument.

Too cloudy for the fab sunset we'd hoped for, but spectacular all the same.
This lady grabbed Fred without a word and squeezed him as her friend took a pic which seemed to take forever. Under that cute expression hides angry Freddy!

Boys channelling inner Buddha's.

Bright lights as we head home.
Early to bed, alarm set for 4.30 am for temples at sunrise!

  2. We had thought about charging for photos, by now we might have got enough for Freddy's flight home. She was an especially non smiley and forceful lady. He should have pushed her in the moat! It's fab here, people are very friendly and very persistent. The pool is certainly welcome and the food at the hotel is amazing. Love to you two, is Cumbrae getting the good weather the UK is? Xxxx
