Siem Reap day 5

This morning we pack up our room as today we leave the awesome Wheel Garden Residence and head to our Airbnb. But first a last Tuk Tuk with Mr Pheap around more temples.
Fred's Praying Mantis.
With Shokkeng, one of the receptionists who took a real some to Freddy.
It's market day!

We head to Elephant Terrace, didn't realise there would be actual elephants.

Phimeanakas Temple.

Line of Tuk tuks.
Elephants.
We are stunned at the detail on the temples and walls. No wonder they took tens of years to complete. It's just astonishing.
Elephants and buffalo.
It goes on and on.

We live exploring this group of temples, not least because there's some shade! They are wild and ancient and less busy.

Pray Kahn in the rain.

This is not our Airbnb! We manage to fit four cases, four back packs and four digging people on to Mr Pheap's Tuk Tuk for the short ride to our new digs.
The flat is ridiculously huge and luxurious, the boys love it, Mark and I can't help but feel bad!
We head to the supermarket for supplies.
Chicken hearts, check✓
Chicken hips, check✓
Black chicken, check✓
Frogs, check✓
Dinner sorted we head back to take a bath.

    1. Mangoes are the fave here, so soft and sweet. It was cool to see the elephants and they looked in pretty good shape. Fred wasn't happy as we'd heard stories about how the break elephants in so that people can ride them. Think many of the temples began as Hindu and are now Buddhist. They are amazing, real feats of human endeavour but must have been pretty horrific to build.
We are all feeling abit 7 monthly too. Love you xxxx
